- First download the TANITA PRO app from the Google Play store, or run the update. Create an account and create a client profile.
- Enable Bluetooth and Location services on the tablet
- Open the Bluetooth settings menu on the tablet and delete MC-580/TNT_BW from the list of connected devices, if it was connected before
- Switch on the MC-580(M) and allow it to start up
- When it says 0,00, press and hold the arrow up button, ( ^ ), until it says Pairing/Connecting
- Refresh the list of available devices in the Bluetooth menu, until you see 'TNT_PAIR'
- Press 'TNT_PAIR' and give permission to pair the devices when it is asked
- When the devices are paired, leave the Bluetooth settings menu
- Press the 'return' button (bottom right) on the MC-580(M) so it returns to 0,00
- Open the TANITA PRO app and select a client profile
- When the MC-580(M) says 0,00, initiate a new measurement in the client profile
- Wait until the PRO app and MC-580(M) are connected
- Press 'Start' in the app, the client details will then be shown on the MC-580(M)
- Follow the instructions on tablet/MC-580(M) to take the measurement
Once the connection is established, next time you simply switch on the MC-580(M) and let it go to 0,00, then open the TANITA PRO app, select the client profile, initiate a new measurement, wait until the devices are connected, and press 'Start' in the app to start the measurement.
Make sure that Bluetooth and Location services are always enabled on the tablet before you do this.
Sometimes the connection can be a bit unstable and it takes a few tries to get the TANITA PRO app and the Android tablet connected.
