Our devices MC-780, DC-430, DC-360 and BC-601 have the option to store measurement data on an SD-card. The data on this SD-card can be read by inserting the SD-card in a PC or laptop. When TANITA software is installed on this device the data can be imported in the software to generate reports.
When the SD-card gets damaged the BC-601 can show an error message ("err") when it is inserted in the device. This problem can be solved by replacing the SD-card.
It is important that the SD-card has a maximum capacity of 16 GB. The device will not work with SD-cards that have more storage capacity than 16 GB. The logo's on these type of SD-cards (SD/ SDHC) look like:

MicroSD-cards are not suitable, not even with an adapter to make them regular sized. It has to be a regular sized SD card.
SD-cards with the logo's below usually have a higher storage capacity and do NOT work with the device (SDXC/ SDUC):
Or
Before inserting the SD card make sure 'write-protection' of the SD card is switched off, otherwise the TANITA scale cannot write any data on the card and the scale will show an error. You can enable and disable the write protection with the little switch on the side of the SD card.
