From TANITA PRO Software version 2.8.0.0 it's possible to connect the MC-580 to the software via the scale's internal Bluetooth function.

To connect the MC-580 to the TANITA PRO Software via Bluetooth you need to change a setting in the scale, and then pair the scale via the software. This is the step-by-step instruction for how to do this.

1. First; in the MC-580 you need to set and save setting 11 on 'BLE'. This is how to do this:

- Switch on the MC-580 and let it start.

- Press the arrow down button for at least 5 seconds to enter the setting menu.

- Navigate to settings 11 with the arrow buttons and press the 'SET' button to enter it.

- With the arrow buttons, select 'BLE' and press 'SET' to confirm.

- Press the 'Return' button to go back to the home screen.

- Make sure the scale is still switched on.

2. Then; you need to pair the scale with TANITA PRO Software. This is how to do this:

- Open TANITA PRO Software, go to Settings > TANITA > Device connection > MC-580 > select Bluetooth.

- Click 'Search' while the scale is switched on and is not yet in pairing mode.

- After TANITA PRO has identified the MC-580, open the settings menu on the scale again.

- Navigate to setting 1 for 'Pairing' and press 'SET'.

- TANITA PRO detects pairing mode and then pairs the scale automatically. Do not start another search.

- After the success message, press the bottom right button on the scale to leave the settings menu.

Note: Once the scale is paired with the PC and stored in TANITA PRO, it does not need to be paired again.
